PARCELA DE SALLANA

A delicate color and taste, with a Cigales personality.

Grape Variety

70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha Gris, 10% Albillo, from organic agriculture.

Vineyards

Vineyard under the Cigales Designation of Origin, organically farmed, bush-trained, 34 years old and located in the municipality of Cubillas de Santa Marta. Planted on pebbly, high-altitude soil which gives the wine finesse, depth of flavour and good aromatic intensity.

Features

Manual harvesting. Grapes are received in an inert atmosphere. Rapid, cold processing is carried out to avoid maceration, taking only the free-run must for the production of this pale rosé.

Ageing

A proportion of the wine is aged in used French oak barrels; another part is matured on fine lees for at least 6 months in stainless steel tanks. After lees ageing, the wine from barrels and the wine from stainless steel are blended. Ageing in barrels hardly alters the aromatic profile but adds texture and structure on the palate.

8-10 ºC

COLOUR

Attractive, rose petal hue.

NOSE

Medium intensity aroma, with citrus notes, red and stone fruit which, over time, will develop complexity. Toasted oak notes are very much in the background.

MOUTH

On the palate, the entry is very broad and fleshy, with a sense of volume throughout the mouth. Long, persistent finish and good ageing potential.
