Our grape

Protos now has about 100 hectares of its own vineyards. In addition, it is supplied by some 500 hectares belonging to its associates, as well as approximately 300 more from wine-growers in the area who have become regular suppliers.

Harvesting is 100% manual. Since 2001, half of the production is gathered in 20-kilo boxes; the grapes are then spread over sorting tables. This allows us to observe the grapes bunch by bunch and to select the best, so that only completely healthy, whole grapes reach the fermentation tanks.

The unique R+D+I programme Protos has today is used to improve, even more, the quality of its wines.
