A group of architects, guided by Luis Alonso, co-designer architect with Sir RIchard Rogers, visit the facilities of Bodegas Protos as an example of architecture.
BODEGAS PROTOS became an iconic scene, masterly example of architectural techniques applied to functional spaces yesterday.
Bodegas Protos has served as a reference and example from the world of architecture to a group of renowned architects of our country, throughout the morning have toured the facilities thanks to Luis Alonso, from Alonso Balaguer y Arquitectos Asociados, one of the founders of this magnum palce with the British architect Richard Rogers. Alonso, who has led all the way to the architects, explained all the details of the project, from planning to construction.
A major project that marked a before and after in the world of architecture as Bodegas Protos is a magnificent and unique example of traditional architecture excavated underground and emerge in this case five interlaced vaults which combine design and functionality.
A clear contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional construction of cellars.
After the tour, the architects have had the opportunity to taste two of the top wines of PROTOS: Verdejo 2010, DO Rueda, and Serie Privada Club de Vinos Protos 2003, a limited edition and only suitable only for the most demanding palates.
Excellent wines recognized internationally.
The visit ended at the Castle of Peñafiel, viewpoint from which it has observed the wonderful integration of avant-garde building Bodegas Protos in the area.
