PROTOS works with the Department of Agriculture of the local government in a project that allows to have controlled the vineyards
Keeping its philosophy of “being first", PROTOS continues to promote innovation through Cartosat project. This is a collaborative project with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock of the Junta de Castilla y León, through the Agricultural Technology Institute which has introduced a system of inspections of the vineyards controlled by Bodegas PROTOS.
This management system based on mobile computers that are connected to digital mapping and satellite positioning equipment GPS, enables you to collect any data agronomic measurement surfaces associated photo management crops and any other geographical feature that helps a better planning and monitoring of plantations and, ultimately, the wine production.
The project aims Cartosat, which Protos has invested heavily economic and human resources, is the pooling of experience that can be obtained as a result of applying technology to modern management systems in Castilla y Leon wine farms. In this case, PROTOS offers an ideal area to develop and hone this technology.
With this work, PROTOS enables easy maintenance of the database plantation while the field can collect data for the control of crops, quality control and performance tests in order to further develop its unique wines, exceptional with personality.
