PROTOS, a pioneering winery in Ribera del Duero, has launch its Reserva 2005 with a Gold Medal Best in Class at the IWSC, contest created in 1969 in Britain for the purpose of rewarding quality and excellence of the best wines, spirits and liqueurs from all around the world. The IWSC has a panel of internationally renowned, receiving more than 7,000 samples from 80 countries.
After proper aging of 18 months in barrel and a minimum of 24 months in bottle, consumers and wine lovers can taste the excellent Protos Reserva 2005.
A real gem made from a rigorous selection of grapes of the country from older vineyards with more than 50 years. A unique wine to enjoy.
As for its tasting notes, PROTOS Reserva 2005 is notable for its intense cherry red color with garnet rim. Liquor fruit aromas and aromatic woods, with smoky toasted flavours, reminiscent of vanilla, forming a complex and elegant bouquet. Leaves a velvety mouth as a result of wood-wine pairing, and a lengthy aftertaste, characteristic of any wine of PROTOS; Ideal for pairing with dishes of poultry and red meat, game dishes, sausages, vegetables, fish, consistent cheeses and soups. Is served at a temperature between 17 º C and 18 º C.
