By taking advantage of the approaching Christmas holiday season the doyen winery of Ribera del Duero has launched in the market a delightful wine that will make more demanding palate greatly enjoy thanks to this Special Reserva 1999 coming from vineyards aged over 40 years. The Special Reserva 1999 made of 100% tinta del país and bottled in February 2002 with 14 months aging period is featuring a ripe cherry red colour, thoroughly covered and bright. This wine shows ripe black fruit aromas well-merged with spicy hints of oak, which grant this wine with a touch of complexity. With its great character this wine provides fleshy, tasty, full and elegant mouth. By launching the Special Reserva 1999 whose harvest was classified as excellent by the Regulatory Council, Protos wants to reward its consumers’ loyalty.
