Thanks to the know-how of the Bodega Protos in the 80’s the Regulatory Council of Designation of Origin adopts its name “Ribera de Duero” as quality standard for the comarca wines..

The weather specific conditions (low to moderate pluviometry, harsh winters and thermal fluctuations) along with the geology patterns underlyning the combination of limestone and marl layers generate the major variety grape of the area, Tinta del País. This grape produces a wine unique in the world for the aromas colour, body and character.
